New for 1999: Chevrolet adds
a short-bed Crew Cab to the C/K 2500 for 1999. With the new
Silverado already on sale, the C/K
represents the heavy-duty trims of the ¾ ton pickup truck.
History: The Chevrolet C/K pickup
truck has been the second-best-selling vehicle
in America
for over 15 years running. The current
version of the C/K was introduced in 1988. The C/K 2500
is designed for heavier-duty applications
than the C/K 1500. It comes with standard V8 power
and higher gross weight ratings. All
full-size Chevy pickups feature extensive comfort,
convenience and powertrain options,
making it possible for a Chevy pickup buyer to create a
vehicle that meets almost any requirements.
Sold alongside the new Silverado for 1999, this
will likely be the final year of the
C/K 2500 pickup.
Trim Details: The 1999 Chevrolet
C/K 2500 full-size pickup is available in seven trims:
Regular Cab Long Bed 2WD and 4WD;
Extended Cab Long Bed 2WD and 4WD; Extended
Cab Short Bed 4WD; and Crew Cab Short
Bed 2WD and 4WD. Safety features include
daytime running lights and an anti-lock
brake system (ABS). The standard powertrain for the
C/K 2500 is a 5.7-liter 255-horsepower
V8, with the option of upgrading to either a 6.5-liter V8
diesel or 7.4-liter V8. Standard features
include a 5-speed manual transmission, Scotchgard
protection on all fabric surfaces,
an AM/FM stereo, dual cupholders and power steering. Air
conditioning, power windows and door
locks, cruise control, and an upgraded stereo are
among the many available options.. |
